What we collect
Account info you provide (email, username, optional bio and avatar URL), the content you create (game logs, ratings, reviews, lists, comments, follows), and basic technical data (IP address and request metadata used for security and rate limiting). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google.
How we use it
To operate your account, show your activity to others as you direct, send transactional email (verification and password resets), prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We use service providers to run the product, which may process data on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, an email provider (transactional email), an authentication provider (Google, if you use it), and a game-metadata provider (IGDB/Twitch). Each only receives what they need to perform their function.
Your rights
You can edit your profile, export all of your data, and permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) under laws such as GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
Data retention & security
We keep your data until you delete your account, after which it is removed. Passwords are stored hashed; recovery tokens are single-use and time-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, we request only your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture). We use it solely to create and authenticate your loggd account and to display your profile. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not share or transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the service. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke loggd’s access at any time in your Google Account settings, and deleting your loggd account removes the data we hold.
